Business insurance. Personal attention.

Make a Payment

For an insurance premium or fee payment, use the payment methods and reference shown on your current invoice. The invoice identifies the amount, recipient and due date for your transaction. If you need another copy, are unsure which invoice applies or would like to confirm a payment, contact BAU Risk before sending funds.

Check the invoice before paying

  • Confirm that the invoice relates to the correct business, policy and insurance period.
  • Check the total payable, due date and any invoice or client reference.
  • Use the payment recipient and method stated on the invoice. Do not substitute details from an old invoice.
  • If you received a revised invoice, ask which version supersedes the earlier one.
  • If a balance, credit or adjustment is unclear, ask us to explain it before making a payment.

Our financial services information explains that payments for the services we provide are payable directly to Apollo Risk Services. Your invoice sets out the available payment methods and payment timeframe. This page does not collect bank details or card information and does not provide a separate payment gateway.

Need an invoice or payment confirmation?

Email patrick@baurisk.au with your business name and the invoice or policy reference if you have it. For a payment query, include the date, amount and payment reference. A brief description is enough to start; do not send your full card number, security code, online banking password or one-time passcode.

If somebody else handles your accounts, make sure they have the correct invoice and understand which policy it relates to. Where several policies are invoiced separately, keep the references with the corresponding payments. Retain your payment receipt or remittance advice with your business records. If a payment is not appearing where expected, ask us to check it rather than making a second payment automatically.

Take care with changes to payment details

Unexpected changes to bank or payee details deserve a separate check, even when a message looks familiar or appears in an existing email conversation. Contact the business using a number from an independently verified source, such as contact details you already hold, rather than relying on the details in the message asking for payment. Check spelling in the sender’s address and treat pressure to act immediately as a reason to pause.

If you think funds have gone to a scammer, contact your bank or card provider immediately and tell the genuine business. See Scamwatch’s guidance on business email compromise and payment redirection for warning signs and what to do next.

Payment timing, renewal and changes

Read your invoice alongside your policy and renewal documents. Sending money or a callback request is not, by itself, confirmation that insurance has commenced, renewed or changed. Ask your broker for confirmation of the cover arrangements and effective dates. If you expect difficulty meeting a due date, contact us early to discuss the position and any options that may be available; an alternative arrangement must be confirmed rather than assumed.

Cancellation, premium adjustments and refunds depend on the policy and the applicable service terms. A refund may differ from the original amount paid because of the insurer’s calculation, elapsed cover and applicable remuneration or fees. Read our Terms of Engagement and financial services information and ask us to explain your specific adjustment. We do not quote a refund amount or approve a cancellation through this general information page.
